Indira Kala Sangit Vishwavidyalaya or IKSV Chattisgarh is a public state university established in 1956. It is the first Asian university fully dedicated for music, fine arts and theatre education. The university is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC). In 2014, it became the first Chhattisgarh university to be accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The university was accredited by NAAC with an “A” grade. Indira Kala Sangit Vishwavidyalaya has around 23 departments offering certificate, diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses. The faculty at the university are qualified and hold handsome experience in teaching.
